Kamal Haasan's Yerra Gulabilu is going to be re imagined very soon. The remake version will have Shakthi and Shruthi Haasan playing the roles played by Kamal Haasan and Sridevi.
The new idea has struck the right chord, and the wide publicity it is gaining in media circles is testimony to it. It is learnt that Bharathi Raja's (who directed the original) son Manoj will direct the movie.
Shruthi Haasan, who is seen making efforts to carve a niche for herself, is learnt to be excited about playing the role.
In fact, after her bad Hindi debut with Luck, the actress has come under criticism for a turkey debut. This seems to have made Shruthi make careful choices.
