Veteran actor Rajendra Prasad told the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Saturday that he didnot play the role of Nityananda Swamy in 'Ayyaare'.

"My film revolves around a love story woven around actors Sivaji and Aditi Agarwal and I played the role of a swamy with saffron clothes. Whoever wears saffron is not Nityananda and great seers like Swamy Vivekananda also wore saffron and Nityananda has got no patent over saffron robes", the actor said in the affidavit he filed in the AP High Court.

Swami Nityananda had filed a case against the producer and actor Rajendra Prasad in AP HC accusing them of making a film 'Ayyare' which reportedly humilates him and his devotees. The tainted Swamy asked the court to stop the film from releasing.Responding to the case, Rajendra Prasad told the court that he was willing to produce the video tapes of the Swami with his sexual escapades telecast in various channels across the country recently.

"Will he file cases on all those channels aswell?" angry Rajendra Prasad said. The actor also urged the court to dismiss the petition because it would prevent the media and the cinema medium from exposing fraudulent godmen like Nityananda.
