‘Rajanna’ release pushed to August

Vijayendra Prasad, the writer-turned director and father of SS Rajamouli, is making debut as director through ‘Rajanna’ to be produced by Nagarjuna himself on the banner of Annapurna Studios, besides playing the hero.

Sneha is playing the female lead opposite Nagarjuna in this film and the shooting of the film was getting delayed due to the strike by the Tollywood workers.

Moreover, a huge set erected near Bhoot Bungalow for the purpose was also destroyed in a fire mishap resulting in the delay of the shooting further.

As a result, the release of the film which was expected to be in June was pushed to August.

Rajamouli is taking care of the canning of action scenes and songs of the film and on this condition, Nagarjuna had agreed to produce the film. The film has Telangana armed struggle in its backdrop.
