After giving two devotional films like 'Annamayya' and 'Sri Ramadasu', star director K. Raghavendra Rao convinced Nagarjuna to play the lead role in a film titled 'Shirdi Sai'. He had again teamed up with his old friends like Keeravani to score music for the film and JK Bharavi to pen the script. The film was announced sometime ago and as part of the pre-production works, the director had started music sittings.

On the lines of Annamayya at Tirumala and Sri Ramadasu at Bhadrachalam, Shirdi Saibaba songs are being composed at Shirdi to continue the sentiment. As per the information available, the director and music director offered prayers to Baba on July 21 morning and started composing songs for the movie and if the sources are to be believed one tune had almost finalized by now.

Vedavyas penned a lyric to the composition of Keervani for this song. Presently, Nagarjuna is busy with his films Rajanna and Dhamarukam. The fresh schedule of 'Dhamarukam' began at Aluminium factory. The film is a socio-fantasy flick and is being directed by Srinivasa Reddy and produced by Venkat on the banner of RR Movie Makers.
