Long ago, Ram Gopal Varma made his debut as director through 'Siva' with King Nagarjuna as hero and made it a sensational film. Again, he turned producer for 'Bejawada Rowdilu' with Naga Chaitanya and started a controversy with the title. However, due to objections from various quarters, RGV announced that he is changing the title to 'Bejawada'. Chaitu had an excellent look in the film and his dialogue in the film 'Ee Bejawada Naadira' would evoke immediate applaud in the theatre, he says.

Naga Chaitanya and Amala Paul are pairing up for the film and their combination would be a special attraction. Especially, the Dugamma song shot in Bejawada at a special set would remain a highlight of the film. Like 'Siva' for Nagarjuna, 'Bejawada' would give a break to Chaitu's film career and it would be a major turning point in his life.

Presently the film is being shot in Vijayawada and Hyderabad and the unit would leave for abroad for canning of songs in Switzerland and Italy. The shooting of the film would be wrapped with the abroad schedule. RGV says, 'The reason behind the change of the title is known only to me and I would never the secret. Of course, several gossips may come up in the media but they are all trash. There were high expectations on the film from the beginning of the shooting, but the actual movie would go above those expectations.'

Director Vivek Krishna says, 'I was so fortunate to begin my career with such a great combination. RGV is bringing out the film with a good taste. Bejawada itself is an emotion and Chaitu character carries it. The heroism of Chaitu would be portrayed in full in this film. Especially, for a debutant director like me, Chaitanya would be the best choice. He is cooperating with us well. We are planning to release the film at the end of October as a Diwali gift.'
