Pawan Kalyan has things at his own pace. Since he was committed to Panjaa, he could not give call sheets to Gabbar Singh’s director. Meanwhile, the Tamil version of Dabbang, titled Osthi, starring Shimbu and Richa Gangopadhyaya is well on its way to release later this month.

To talk a bit about Osthi, the film has Shimbu playng Sallu bhai. The trailers are already out. An item song by Mallika Sherawat is eagerly awaited by the Tamil audience.

Pawan will start working on the film very soon. Harish Shankar began s.hooting some scenes on Shruti Hassan. The film is scheduled to release in the summer of 2012.

If Osthi does well in Tamil Nadu, it will be a confidence-booster of sorts for the makers of Gabbar Singh.
