Rana Daggubati says that his Hindi diction has seen a marked sharpening from what it was previously when he acted in Dam Maro Dum at the beginning of the year. How did he refine the same? "The diction classes which I am undergoing are helping me", an earnest Rana says. Since he grew up in Chennai and Hyderabad, Rana says that he is well-versed in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

However, the actor realized that his Hindi diction was not up-to-the-mark. Hence, he made it a point to perk it up. Rana, who awaits a release in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil each, seems to be conscious of the fact that he should perfect the thing if he has to impress the Hindi audience. Acting in Department, in which he is playing a cop, the actor pulled it off quite well.

Not just style of speech, he prepared for the role in his own way. He interacted with two police officers and observed their gait and style. While he spent time with the cops in the process of preparing for the role, he understood that there is more in the lives of cops than what meets the eye.

"I have learnt a lot on the personal as well as professional front while preparing for the character", he says. Rana also says that Krishnam Vande Jagatgurum is going to unleash a new dimension in him. The film, directed by Krish, was launched on Dec. 14, which was his birthday.
