Recently, the sarpanch of a village in Mahbubnagar's Nawabpet mandal distributed mango pickle to 100 people. Later, it was known that the trader who was engaged in trading the mangoes and the cook who made the pickle had got infected with Covid-19.

After their test reports were out, contact-tracing was initiated by authorities, who came to know about the 'pacchadi'-distribution act of the large-hearted sarpanch. The incident took place in Kolloor, a village near Shadnagar.

As per a Times Of India report, soon after they were told to quarantine themselves at their homes, many in the village threw out the mango pickle. Officials in the village have asked everyone to stay calm and not get panicked.

The trader and the cook had visited the Old City in Hyderabad, reports say. At least 2 quintiles of pickle have been prepared by them. Not everyone has tasted the 'pacchadi' for reasons of taste.
