TN 12th exam results announced: girls perform better than boys

The Tamil Nadu 12th standard results have been announced by the government and it seems like the girls have overtook boys in terms of pass percentage. The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu announced the results which showed the pass percentage of girls were at 94.1% while its was 87.7% for girls.
The overall pass percentage for students this year is 91.1% which is lower than last year’s 92.1 %. Here’s the subject wise breakdown of pass percentage for each subject:
Physics - 96.2
Chemistry - 95.0
Biology - 96.3
Maths - 96.4
Botany - 93.9
Zoology - 91.3
Commerce - 90.3
Computer science - 96.1
