Ashfaq Mehmood Choudhary, a 17-year-old youth from Jammu and Kashmir's Chattyear, Rajouri, is in the news for a noteworthy achievement. He has reportedly developed an alternative app to the banned Chinese file-sharing apps like SHAREit.

Named 'Dodo Drop', the app enables users to share not only audios and texts but also videos of up to a particular size. Speaking to ANI, Choudhary said, "I started developing the app after the Government of India imposed a ban on Chinese apps. It took me four weeks to complete."

It's the young lad's aim to develop apps of a global standard for the Indian market. It has to be seen whether the app will get successful in the coming days. The tech market usually witnesses giants trying to replace banned Chinese apps from time to time.
