A Tamil film with a Teenage girl as music director!

Tamil cinema has provided many music maestros right from K.V.Mahadevan to Anirudh Ravichander. But almost all of them are males and baring a two or three exceptions, the imprint of females in the field of film music has been so low. Even the women who have provided music for films have done so only for one or two films and they have not been able to make a mark.

Now that the gender inequalities eroding in Tamil cinema, women are achieving in many departments of Tamil cinema such as film-making, script writing, lyric writing and also production. As a new addition to this welcome trend a 19 year old girl is going to score music for a new film. 

A new Tamil film titled as 'Antony' will mark the debut of 19 year old student Sivathmika as the music director. The film is a thriller directed by debutant Kutty Kumar. The film stars Lal of 'Sandakozhi' and 'Oram Po' fame in lead role. Many youngsters are making their acting debut with this film. 

Recently the first look and single track of the film were release by director Pa. Ranjith. The crew says that the film's title is a tribute to late actor Rahuvaran. It is the name of the epic villain character he played in the 1995 blockbuster 'Baasha'.
