19 year old Vijay fan behind bars

In a disconcerting news, a fan of actor Vijay has been arrested for abusing Prime Minister Modi with derogatory language in a social media chat. 

The 19 year old Thirumurugan had reportedly responded in an inappropriate manner to a meme sent in Facebook’s Messenger by a BJP functionary Marimuthu. The meme was about the controversial GST and free public healthcare reference in Vijay’s ‘Mersal’.

Marimuthu who is BJP’s District Secretary in the Virudhunagar district informed about this to the police seeking action against the youngster. The officials then charged Thirumurugan under section 67 of Information Technology Act,2000 and has remanded him under judicial custody.
