The teaser of historical fiction film 'Puli' was released on the occasion of Vijay's birthday and in less than 45 hours, the teaser crossed two million views in youtube. Chimbudevan is the director of this film, which has Vijay, Hansika and Shruti Haasan playing the leads.
Shibu Thameens and PT Selvakumar, the producers of the film, are very happy with the response to the teaser. They said, "We are very happy that our teaser got hits on par with 'PK' movie. Vijay felt that the teaser is a very memorable birthday gift to him. Sridevi is playing Rani Soumya Devi in this film, which is being simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil.
