In an important political move ahead of the elections which will be held next year, AIADMK camp had earlier announced that the official announcement about the Chief Ministerial candidate will be made by the party headquarters today.

Now it has been announced officially after the discussions between party members that AIADMK party is fielding the current chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Edappadi Palanisamy as their chief ministerial candidate for the 2021 Tamil Nadu assembly elections as well.

This announcement was being watched upon after there were conflicts on the selection of Chief Ministerial candidate for the elections, due to a speculated rift between EPS and O Panneer Selvam and followers of both the politicians were constantly voicing out in support of their respective leaders as next CM candidate.
