'24' trimmed to increase appeal

In view of the criticism that the film 24 is a bit lengthy, the makers have trimmed the film by 7 minutes. Many viewers have said that the romantic track is a bit lengthy. This is the only segment where trimming is possible because scenes involving the scientist and the villain wouldn't make sense if anything is cut off. Earlier, it was at 164 minutes and post the editing, the film's run-time is 157 minutes.

The film has been getting positive word of mouth from all the centers. People are especially raving the rare time travel concept. Suriya's acting, Rahman's music grand visuals and awe-inspiring set designs. Suriya's character Athreya has been especially receiving an all-round applause.

It has to be seen if this trimming will help the film even more.
