This Friday three films has variety of subjects. The contest is not big but contents are quite impressive from three films. Two national award winning Kannada film of P Seshadri and Basanthkumar Patil ‘December 1’ is taking on ‘Veera Pulakeshi and Malli’ Kannada films.

‘DECEMBER 1’ – The winning spree director P Seshadri picking up a real life story has come out with a neat and absorbing film. The premier was held recently for this film. Director Seshadri takes the problem and does not give solution to the issue. ‘December 1’ is about the state chief minister residing in the house of Mahadevappa and Rotti Devakka who are below poverty life. There is festive mood for the family as the State Chief Minister is coming to stay. The District Commissioner changes the whole look of the house of downtrodden family. It is very short lived happiness for the poor. The chief minister ulterior politicking is that on World AIDS day he lived in the family that is afflicted with the disease. This announcement in the Television news shatters the life of Mahadevappa and Rotti Devakka who were eking out a tolerable life before the episode.

This is the 8th award for P Seshadri in his direction. This film has bagged best regional film and screenplay award. V Manohar music and Ashok V Raman is cameraman. Chandrasekhar Vastrada has penned the dialogues.

VEERA PULIKESHI – This week is the screen birth of another close relative of Tamil action King Arjun. It is Bharat Sarja. He is playing a cop in his debut with biggest rabble rouser Ravishanker. Ravishanker also rendered a song for the film. The happening of this film dates back to early 90s. One of the cops killed by fugitive Veerappan has his generation intact. In his duty the real life cop was taking his son to various duty bound areas. The cop in the child grew up. After his father death from the hands of Veerappan, a senior cop brings up this child. That youth turns a cop in real life. The same role is now played by Bharat Sarja. Rekha is counterpart. Manjunath Babu who directed ‘Mirror’ a silent film is director of this film.

MALLI – Director of ‘Ashirwada’ Kannada cinema is seeking blessings for his second film ‘Malli’ in the box office. Before you render help get to know to whom you are extending help and the raging point of wide age differences in the marriage leading to complications are dealt in this film. Confidence level of director is very good. We have all the ingredients of a commercial entertainer in this film. First let the audience come to our cinema theatre says Vishnupriyan. Sujeeth is paired with Disha Poovaiah and Soujanya.
