4 children die as boat collapses off the Mumbai coast

4 children died in a mishap which occurred this morning off the cast at Mumbai when the boat in which they were travelling capsized.
The crowded boat capsized a few nautical miles off Mumbai coast; in a rescue and search operation launched soon after the mishap, 25 persons were rescued. Hunt is on to trace a few other missing children.
40 children from a Mumbai School had taken off in a boat on a pleasure trip when the ill-fated boat capsized when it was just 3.7 km off the coast. 4 children died soon after falling into the sea while others were rescued by those who rushed from the coast. Indian Air Force’s Dornier-type aircraft and choppers have been pressed into service to trace 10-odd children missing after the mishap. It is feared that the death toll may rise as children had capsized more than three hours back.
