5G internet would be launched soon, says Union Communications Minister

Union Communications Minister Manoj Sinha has said that there won’t be any delay on the party of the Centre in introducing state-of-the-art internet facility across the country.
 
“We already have the frequency facilities required to put in place 5G services,” Sinha said while taking part in a seminar held in the national capital on India’s preparedness in implementing 5G internet facility which many countries across the globe are gearing up to introduce.
 
“5G is an inevitable technological advancement to as to upgrade the existing telecommunication on par with world-class facilities,” Sinha said and added that frequencies to telecom firms would be allotted on first-cum-first-served basis.
 
When put in place, 5G technology may help its users to download data at a terrific speed of 20 GB per second.
