A.R. Rahman is the World Tamilian of the Year

The Federation of World Tamil`s has honored A. R. Rahman by naming him The World Tamilian of the Year for his services as a great ambassador for the language and being a bridge to the millions of Tamils across the globe.

A grand function is organized to be held on the 5th of January at a Five star hotel in Guindy where scholars, writers , poets and lovers of Tamil will gather when the Isaipuyal will be given the award. The organization has said that Sundar Pichai, C. Ayyadurai, Navaneetham Pillai were considered for the award but the committee unanimously voted for A.R. Rahman.
