A rare Glory to Maryan Album

Dhanush-Parvathi Menon starrer Maryan which was Directed by internationally acclaimed Director Bharat Bala did not do well at the box office. .
However the tunes set by the long time pal of the director and the double Oscar winner A.R.Rahman, were instant hits among the audience. The Nenje Ezhu number sung by the ace composer himself was the pick of the lot. The album also had a song sung by another famed music director in Tamil, Yuvan Shankar Raja marking the first union of a person from the Family of Maestro Ilayaraja with A.R.Rahman.
The soundtrack of Maryan has achieved a new glory recently. It has been selected as the Tamil Album of the Year in the famous ITunes Best of 2013 that rates International music albums.
