A re-entry through remake

Ramgopal Verma made a mark for himself a couple of decades ago with Udhayam. The movie starring Nagarjuna and Amala was a big hit and announced the arrival of Ramgopal to film industry with a bang.

After a long gap, the producer-director is ready with his next movie in Tamil. Interestingly, the movie is titled Udhayam 2006. RGV has made it look like a sequel to his Udhayam.

However the movie stars Mohit Ahlawat, Amoha, Suchitra Pillai and Shereveer Vakil. It has music by Ilayaraja.

According to industry sources, Udhayam 2006 is a prelude to Ramgopal Verma's venture to produce a direct movie in Tamil.

The movie is gangster-based and has action and romance at right mix.
