The teaser of Santhanam's 'A1' has landed as a Tamil New Year treat and looks like it has the comedy superstar in his elements as he goes "Thara Local" for his role as a petty criminal. The cuts show Santa as a local area boy in love with a brahmin girl and with M.S. Bhaskar playing his dad the interaction between him and the girl's father must be a scream. Santhanam is aided in his comedic journey of love by his usual suspects from Lollu Sabha including Maaran, Thangadurai, Swaminathan and Mottai Rajendran.

'A1' also seems to have veteran multilingual hero Saikumar making a comeback as a cop. Santhosh Narayanan has filled the background with foot tapping gaana songs that complement Gopi Jagadeeshwaran's colorful cinematography and flashy cuts of Leo John Paul. Director Johnson and Circle Box Entertainment seem to have a thara local comedy roller coaster on their hands with Santhanam in full form.
