The trailer for the upcoming fantasy comedy film "Aalambana," starring Vaibhav of Mankatha fame, has been unveiled. Scheduled to release on December 15 and supported by KJR Studios and Koustubh Entertainment, the film is directed by debutant Pari K Vijay. Alongside Vaibhav, the cast includes Robo Shankar, Kaali Venkat, Parvati Nair, and Munishkanth, who plays the role of a genie, as evident from the newly released trailer.

The makers enthusiastically shared the trailer of "Aalambana" with the caption, "The genie has granted your wish for entertainment! #AalambanaTrailer is now live, packed with a whirl of fun and magic." The narrative kicks off with a wealthy royal family facing a sudden downfall upon the arrival of their son, played by Vaibhav. The central plot revolves around two goons pursuing a magic lamp, but an unexpected turn of events leads the protagonist to possess it, making Munishkanth's genie character his servant and altering his life irrevocably. However, the storyline takes a serious turn when the two goons set their sights on the protagonist.

The unfolding events form the essence of the plot, promising a thrilling and humorous journey. The trailer suggests a whimsical fantasy adventure with Vaibhav and Munishkanth stealing the spotlight as the lead characters. Parvati Nair assumes the role of the female lead, while the ensemble cast features Murali Sharma, Dindigul I Leoni, Anandraj, and Kabir Duhan Singh as the antagonist, known for his role in Vedalam. The film's music is composed by Hip Hop Tamizha, and the cinematography is handled by Vinoth Ramaswamy, acclaimed for his work in Nedunalvaadai. Editing is carried out by San Lokesh.

In addition to "Aalambana," Vaibhav is set to join the highly anticipated project by Vijay and Venkat Prabhu, tentatively titled "Thalapathy 68," currently in production and anticipated for a mid-2024 release.
