Aamir Khan Confirms Superhero Action Film with Lokesh Kanagaraj – Shooting Begins in Late 2026

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has officially confirmed that he will be teaming up with acclaimed director Lokesh Kanagaraj for an upcoming film. While Aamir makes a cameo appearance in Lokesh’s Coolie—starring Rajinikanth—their collaboration is set to go much further.

In a recent interview, Aamir revealed that he will headline a full-fledged film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Describing the project as a high-octane action film with superhero elements, Aamir confirmed that shooting is scheduled to commence in the second half of 2026.

Lokesh Kanagaraj, who has just wrapped shooting Coolie, is currently immersed in post-production work. Following Coolie’s release, he is expected to direct Khaithi 2 with actor Karthi, aiming for a first-half 2026 release.

Only after Khaithi 2 wraps up will the ambitious pan-India project with Aamir Khan go on floors. Reports suggest it will be mounted on a massive scale and could mark a new chapter in superhero action cinema in India.
