AAP govt seeks Army's help to beat Covid-19 crisis

The Delhi government on Monday sought new human resources in order to manage its worsening Covid-19 crisis. With the burden of active cases increasing, the Arvind Kejriwal government has written a letter to Minister of Defence Rajnath Singh.

In the letter, the Health Minister of Delhi urged Rajnath Singh to deploy Army in for rapid assistance. This comes at a time when Delhi is ramping up its healthcare infrastructure in the coming days.

As per reports, Delhi will be adding about 15,000 oxygenated non-ICU beds and 1,200 ICU beds by May 15.

Recently, Dr. Devi Shetty, a reputed cardiac surgeon, urged the Centre to change regulations to let paramedic students who are yet to attemp the final year exams to be qualified to work in hospitals.
