Oviya and Aarav are the most popular celebrities who emerged from the first season of Tamil Bigg Boss with the former becoming a role model while the latter winning the title.  On the show the duo were involved in an allegedly scripted romance and Aarav's "Maruthuva Mutham" to Oviya was also a trending sensational news which lost fizz after both denied any involvement offscreen.

In an interview to a leading Tamil weekly, Aarav has stated that he and Oviya share a close bonding and talk very often on the cell phone.  He also has let out that they meet up often and go for outings.   He however asserted that since he is only 29 now he would not be thinking about marriage any time soon and is concentrating hard on his film career.
