Glorious career, a suicide attempt, an accident and sudden death

The sudden death of Aarthi Agarwal left everyone in shock. She is said to have been suffering with severe respiratory problems for a few years after a failed liposuction surgery and suffered a massive heart attack.

Starting her career with the super hit film 'Nuvvu Naaku Nachaav', Aarti rose to fame within a very few years. She was one of the top actresses for many years and acted with big stars in the industry like Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Prabhas, NTR etc. She also acted with Tarun, Uday Kiran, Sunil etc. Her sister Aditi Agarwal made her debut as actress in Tollywood with the film 'Gangotri' in 2003.

Aarthi Agarwal attempted a suicide in 2005. It was speculated then that she attempted suicide because of the problems in her love life with actor Tarun. However both Tarun and Aarthi Agarwal denied that they were in a relationship. Aarthi even said that she attempted suicide being hurt by the rumours of her affair with Tarun. She was once again in news in 2006 when she was hospitalized following a head injury. Even then there were many speculations how the injury happened. But the family members clarified that she fell from a stair case. She put on a lot of weight after this accident.

Aarthi married an NRI named Ujwal in 2007 and continued acting in small films. Her last film is 'Ranam 2', which is getting ready for a release soon.
