Abhishek Bachchan Becomes A Proud Husband Again!

Bollywood’s talented actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was honoured with the prestigious Meryl Streep Award for Excellence at the Women in Film and Television (WIFT) India Awards in Washington DC yesterday. She attended the award ceremony with her lil princess, Aaradhya Bachchan and mom Vrinda Rai. While Ash was seen dazzling in a black and gold fish-tail gown, her daughter too looked damn pretty in a cute pink gown.

And look who is super-happy with the award! None other than her hubby, Abhishek Bachchan who is currently busy with the promotions of Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Manmarziyaan’. Though he could not join his wife for the ceremony, he made sure to send her his love through this tweet, which read, “And the Mrs. is awarded the Meryl Streep award for excellence at WIFT. The little one gives her a congratulatory hug, and I look on (to the photo) a very proud husband!”

Ash who too could not hold up her excitement took to her Instagram account and shared few clicks. She also thanked her fans for the support and love that has been showered on her!

Apart from Mrs.Bachchan, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar received the Wyler Award for Excellence in Direction, and the ‘Dhadak’ actress Janhvi Kapoor was also honoured with the WIFT Emerald Award. WIFT honours the best female talent in Bollywood and Hollywood.
