Abhishek - I took Raavan because it was Mani

The thump of Mani RatnamÂs ÂRaavan is getting louder and louder. With hardly couple of days remaining for it to come on screens, the lead hero Abhishek Bachchan is making the right noise in promoting the film.
The actor created history, by taking on a promotional tour across seven cities at different cities in 12 hours. Interestingly he is has thus become the only star in the Indian film industry to achieve such feat.
Abhishek, who plays the title role in ÂRaavanÂ, stated that itÂs Mani who knows the knack to bring out the best from every actor.
ÂWorking with him has always been a delight as well as a challenging experience. I felt it once again while doing ÂRaavanÂ. He is one of the very few filmmakers in the country whose knowledge on cinema is very immense, the Junior Bachchan says.
Heaping more laurels on ÂMani sirÂ, he says, ÂIf any other director would have approached me with a script like ÂRaavan I would have no doubt said no because I know that I am not capable to do a character like Beera.Â
ÂBut I accepted to be part of ÂRaavan when I was asked to do the role just because of one reason - Mani. He always shows great confidence in my talent which is unbelievable. Even I donÂt have such confidence on me, Abhishek adds.
