Actress Sruthi Hariharan made the shocking allegation via the Me Too movement that she was sexually harassed by Action King Arjun during the shooting of 'Nibunan'/Vismaya'. The veteran action hero who denied the charge filed a defamation case against the actress claiming 5 Crores. The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) called on a meeting between Arjun and Sruthi Hariharan in Bengaluru with superstar Ambareesh in attendance.
The meeting that went on for a few hours ended in a deadlock as no compromise was reached and Sruthi stated “I am the one who has been wronged. I respect KFCC and since they have asked me to hold off filing a complaint till Friday, I will respect that. I will announce my decision once the meeting is over. I wanted to file a complaint when I came out with my story but since the Film Chamber members told me to hold off for a while, I respected that,”.
Arjun stated to the pressmen that he would fight this battle and emerge victorious to teach a lesson to all those using Me Too falsely to malign celebrities. The meeting was attended by many prominent members of the Kannada film industry including Kavitha Lankesh, Pooja Gandhi, Rockline Venkatesh and Chinne Gowda.
