Actor turned director Sidharth Bharathan and wife Sujina welcomes their first baby, a girl, on Wednesday. Taking to his social media handle, Sidharth shared the pictures of the newborn and his wife. “It’s a baby girl. Both the mother and child are safe and sound," captioned Sidharth.

Sidharth, son of late director Bharathan and veteran actress KPAC Lalitha, married Sujina on August 31 last year. This was Sidharth's second wedding. He was earlier married to Jagathy Sreekumar's niece Anju. The couple got separated in 2013.

On the work front, Sidharth's next movie is Djinn, which is in the post-production phase. The movie has Soubin Shahir and Nimisha Sajayan in the lead roles.
