Actor Karthik Kumar of 'Kanda Naal Mudhal' and 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini' fame got married to young actress Amrutha Srinivasan in a private ceremony in Chennai. Several celebrities including Vinodhini Vaidyanathan and Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli have wished the couple on social media.

Karthik Kumar who is also a famous standup comedian was earlier married to singer Suchitra for a many years. The couple separated a couple of years back and they got divorced.

Amrutha Srinivasan has acted in a few films including 'Meyaadha Maan' and 'Dev' and it is said that she played the lead role in a new movie that marks the directorial debut of Karthik Kumar. Sources say that they fell in love during the making of the as yet untitled film that has K. Bhagyaraj and Urvashi in important roles. The couple after dating for a few months took their relationship to the next level.
