Actor Mangalanathan gurukkal has featured in hundreds of Tamil movies mostly playing his real-life character of a temple priest. He is also the go-to man in the film industry for conducting any type of poojas be it for film launches or other filmi events.

Mangalanatha gurukkal has lodged a shocking complaint at the Mylapore police station that some persons have been scamming people and collecting money using his name. It is said that someone had posted that the actor and his entire family passed away due to COVID 19 and there is not even money for last rites.

People to whom Mangalanathan is familiar felt pity and had sent money to the scamsters. He has stated that he and his family are all fine and requested immediate police action. A case has been filed and the inquiries have started.
