Veteran actor-producer-director Raj Kiran is well known for his powerful portrayals in several films. He is married to Jyothi and has two children, son Nainar Muhammed and daughter Zeenat Priya.

It is reported that Zeenat Priya got married to television actor Munish Raja of 'Nadaswaram' fame at a temple in Chennai in a simple manner. They also registered their marriage. Sources say that the couple were in love and while the groom's parents and family approved of their union, Raj Kiran's family did not give consent.

Munish Raja is the younger brother of popular actor Shanmugharajan of 'Virumandi' fame. It is said that efforts are on to convince Raj Kiran to accept his loving daughter's decision and bless the couple.
