Veteran actor-director Rajasekhar passes away

Veteran actor-director Rajasekhar passed away suddenly today (September 8th) and tributes are pouring in from the movie and television industry fraternity. He started his career as an actor in 'Nizhalgal' directed by Bharathiraja and later switched to direction forming the famous collaboration with cinematographer Robert.

The Robert-Rajasekhar duo have given several memorable movies in the 80s and 90s including 'Oru Thalai Raagam', 'Palaivana Cholai', 'Chinna Poovae Mella Pesu', 'Manasukkul Mathappu' and others. Robert passed away a couple of years back and Rajasekhar found new fame by acting as the father of the hero in 'Saravanan Meenacthi' that made him a household name.
