Popular actor quits PMK

The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) after severe criticisms on the ruling ADMK made a sudden U-turn and aligned with them and the BJP for the upcoming Parliamentary elections. One of their senior leaders Rajeshwari quit the party and joined Kamal Haasan's Makkal Neethi Maiam a few days back in retaliation.

Today Ranjith a popular actor and a vice president of the PMK, has quit the party citing that he could not digest Dr. Ramadoss and Anbumani Ramadoss's change of stance in supporting the ADMK which they called a corrupt party till a week ago. He also slammed them for siding with liqor barons while their primary goal was to make Tamil Nadu a liqor free state.
