Actor Unni Mukundan to enter politics?

For the past few days there had been reports doing the rounds that actor Unni Mukundan is making his entry into politics. After the reports spread like a forest fire on social media, the actor himself has opened up. In a note shared on his social media, Unni Mukundan clarified that the news regarding his political entry was all 'fakeâ. The actor who is currently busy with the filming of his movie 'Gandharva Jr' wrote, âHello, Just got to know about the news regarding me joining politics. It's FAKE. I'm working on my film, Gandharva Jr. It's a long schedule. I'll keep you posted. Also, extending my humble request to the media houses to kindly check the authenticity of such information before airing them. It's unfair that I have to clear things over and over again. I have high regards for the politicians and politics alike because of their direct impact on the society. I don't take politics for granted. Hope this serves the purpose.
On the work front, Unni Mukundan's previous movie, 'Mallikapuram', achieved great success and made it to the 100-crore club. He is now working on his next project, 'Gandharva Jr', which is directed by a newcomer named Vishnu Aravind and produced by JM Infotainment and Little Big Films.
