Vishal showers praise on Mithali

Mithali Raj, the captain of the Indian women's cricket team is known for her cricketing prowess as well her leadership skills. The women's cricket team under her captaincy, made to the finals in the recently held world cup though narrowly missing the title.
The cricketer was at Chennai as a recipient of the JFW award given to her honouring her achievements. Actor Vishal, who is the general secretary of Nadigar Sangam and the President of the Tamil FIlm Producers council was the chief guest for the award ceremony.
Vishal who praised Mithali Raj for her achievements also opined that he was a fan of the lady cricketer not only because of her hard work and dedication towards her profession, but also owing to the fact that she was able to prove the name of Indian women cricketing team in the international stage. Mithali Raj will inspire and encourage many more talented women in India to get into sports, the actor said.
