Actors Who Nearly Played Some Iconic Roles

We all love movies and we all love how the directors choose exactly the right actor for the role, who can blend well with the wavelength and the feel of the movie. It’s not just about looks sometimes, it could be about talent and lots of time and dedication for the role, for an actor to win a role that MIGHT be the most iconic role in their career. However, some actors turned down some mega chances to play the once-in-a-life roles and others won the same chance to win the game!

So, here are some actors who almost played your favorite roles in movies but didn’t.

Mahesh Babu

There’s just a lot of Mahesh in director's mind when it comes to some romantic movies. Especially, Ye Maaya Chesave. Directed by Gautham Menon, the 100% Love actor, Naga Chaitanya was not the first choice for Ye Maaya Chesave but Mahesh was first approached for it. But, he turned it down and fate played its game and now the actress in Ye Maaya Chesave, Samantha Ruth is now getting married to Naga Chaitanya. Fate is pretty deep and weird if you think about it.

Prakash Raj

Prakash Raj is the kind of actor that can convince the audience into believing that he is the bad guy, the good guy, a rowdy, a gentleman, next-door uncle or anything basically and that’s why he was first chosen to play Rao Ramesh’s role in Brahmotsavam. He had to decline the role as he was ill at the time.

Pawan Kalyan

Pawan Kalyan method of acting is pretty simple. He can play one of the most gentlemanly roles and can play one of the rustic roles, but either way, his charm and ethic works like a charm and maybe that’s why the makers of puri Jagannath’s Idiot approached him at the time to play the role of Ravi Teja. For some unknown reason, Pawan Kalyan didn’t do the role and Ravi Teja got the role and won our hearts!

John Abraham

The Dostana star was first in the talks to play the role as his physique and wavelength would match perfectly well with the movie. But, the actor couldn’t do the role as he was busy with other projects and finally, Rana Daggubati won the Bhallaladeva role in Baahubali! But, boy does he look hot! (heart-eyes)

Surya

The sensational actor Surya has the won the hearts of many ladies when he shined on the screen along with Asin in Ghajini. He was offered the role of Prince Mahesh Babu in Businessman but Surya declined it as he was shooting for 7th Sense at the time. And 7th sense movie ended up being an average movie in Telugu while Businessman was a blockbuster hit.

Parineeti Chopra

Speaking of Mahesh, Parineeti Chopra was first in talks with Mahesh Babu’s latest flick Spyder. She said ‘no’ to the role as she was not available on the dates that the director scheduled and hence, Rakul Preet Singh got the role.

Ram Charan

The Chiruta Actor was first approached for Gautham Menon’s Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu. However, Charan had to decline the offer as he was busy filming another hit flick that year. The movie turned out to be an average one but shots fired right?

Sonam Kapoor

The stylish actress was first approached for the role of Avantika in Baahubali saga. However, the directors changed their mind as Sonam was busy with Vogue shoots and then upcoming Bollywood film. Milky beauty Tamannah Bhatia won the role and added the fairy-tale like factor to the fantasy movie.
