Actress and Bigg Boss fame Sanam Shetty has stirred up a controversy on social media after releasing a video accusing a member of the Jananayakan team of misleading her with false promises regarding a role in Thalapathy Vijay’s final film.

In the emotional video, Sanam shared her frustration, stating:

“Since Jananayakan is Vijay’s last film, I reached out to several contacts hoping to land even a small role. Eventually, I convinced an assistant director, who assured me he would help. He kept me hanging for four months, but in the end, nothing materialized. When I asked to speak to the director directly, he refused.”

She went on to express her disappointment:

“Later, he told me, ‘I’m just a small-time AD, I can’t get anyone a role.’ I asked him why he wasted four months of my time if that was the case. I don’t believe Vijay sir would be aware of such things happening behind the scenes. I’m making this video to bring it to his attention.”

Sanam also used the occasion to highlight the inequalities in the film industry, particularly how actresses are treated based on their market value:

“On a day meant to honor all workers, it’s disheartening to see how the Tamil film industry treats actresses differently — those with current market value are respected, while others are ignored. That’s a serious flaw.”

Despite the experience, she expressed her continued support for Vijay and his upcoming political journey:

“I fully support Jananayakan and Thalapathy Vijay’s political entry.”

Sanam Shetty’s revelations have sparked widespread discussion online, with fans and netizens demanding more transparency and accountability in film casting practices.
