Actress arrested for involvement in a bomb blast

On Wednesday, there was a grenade blast near a mall in Guwahati (Assam) in which 12 people were injured. The Assam police quickly went into action and within 24 hours arrested Jahnabi Saikia, a television actress. Besides her, a ULFA leader was also arrested.
The cops had received information that three people involved in the blast were staying at a house in Panjabari area and commissioner Deepak Kumar led the team and made the arrests, seizing 35 rounds of bullets, 40 kg explosives, a 9mm pistol and gelatin sticks.
Jahnabi Saikia, 40, has told the police that she has two children and her further statement is withheld by the department due to security reasons.
