Actress Gauthami has lodged a formal complaint with the Chennai Police Commissioner, stating that her life is under threat and urging authorities to take immediate action.

Known for her roles alongside top stars like Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth, Gauthami has also been active in politics. She was previously associated with the BJP and is currently with the AIADMK.

The complaint is connected to an ongoing legal dispute over her property in Neelankarai, Chennai, reportedly worth ₹9 crore. Gauthami alleges that a man named Alagappan has illegally taken control of the land. Following a court order, the property has since been sealed.

In her petition, Gauthami claims that some individuals—including certain officials—are demanding bribes to demolish unauthorized structures on her property. She further alleges that she is being harassed and threatened, including being targeted by individuals posing as lawyers.

Additionally, she revealed that posters have surfaced announcing a protest, which has added to her concern for personal safety. Gauthami has requested police protection and action against those threatening her.

The police have taken note of her complaint and are currently investigating the matter.
