Actor Prasanna who had last acted in Tamil in the movie Kaalakoothu, will be having a release this month with the movie Mafia Chapter 1 directed by Karthick Naren, where he will be seen playing the villain clashing with Arun Vijay. Mafia Chapter 1 releases worldwide on February 21.

Prasanna who was also considered initially for Thala Ajith's Valimai is rumoured to be in talks for playing the villain in Suriya's next movie directed by Hari, and it was also recently confirmed that the actor is playing an important role in Dhanush's D43 directed by Karthick Naren.

Recently, actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar had posted a photo from the sets of her Telugu movie Naandhi and captioned it "It's one of those days..feeling shy apparently hahaha.. #NAANDHI #telugumovie #Hyderabaddiaries", and actor Prasanna instantly tweeted sarcastically "Partner u??? Shy???? How??" and Varalaxmi responded "Hahah that's why I said one of those days lol..". Varalaxmi and Prasanna had acted together in Nibunan.
