Production house in trouble for wrongly announcing actress death

In the modern world where everything is digitalized news travel pretty fast and its difficult to ascertain which is true and which is false even if it comes from the most reliable of sources. Malibu Bay Films a few days back announced that actress Julie Strain passed away and her relatives and friends apart from fans were shocked.

But now it has come to light that the B-grade actress is alive and her partner Dave has confirmed it. Malibu Bay Films had no choice but to apologize on Instagram "The information we received from a trusted source of the community on the status of MBF Icon #juliestrain was found to be FALSE! ?? We deeply apologize for needlessly upsetting anyone as well as ourselves! We have asked THR for a retraction as well. Thank you & God Bless Julie & family

Julie Strain's younger sister had posted "Julie Strain is my older sister. When I began to hear the reports and receive the condolence messages via Facebook messenger, I was devastated. I couldn't believe that I had not been told anything about this. I honestly believed she had passed away. I couldn't think clearly and just began researching the online media, IMDb, and Wikipedia. I started contacting my family members and during that process we reached out to Dave to find out why he hadn't told us what happened. This is when we learned that Julie was okay and that she was at home. The rollercoaster of emotions I went through was unimaginable. Julie and I share a special bond that is very solid and strong. I love my sister so much and I am so thankful that she is still with us. I am so grateful for the outpouring of love and support I have been receiving regarding Julie. Her fans certainly adore her and she loves her fans.

The 57-year-old Julie Strain is suffering from the early onset of Dementia caused by a severe head injury she suffered when she was a young girl and has been fighting its side effects for most of her life. Apart from hundreds of B-movies the curvaceous star has acted in 'Naked Gun', 'Beverley Hills Cop 3' and 'Double Impact' with Jean Claude Van Damme.
