Kalyani Priyadarshan, the daughter of famous Malayalam director Priyadarshan and actress Lissy made her acting debut in Tamil in Sivakarthikeyan's 'Hero' directed by P.S.Mithran. She also starred opposite Simbu in the critically acclaimed blockbuster hit 'Maanaadu' directed by Venkat Prabhu.

Kalyani has an elder brother Siddharth who got married to Melanie on February 4th. She shared a pic and wrote "Last evening we celebrated my brother’s marriage in the most special and intimate ceremony at home with just family. Im so excited to have Melanie be the sister I’ve always wanted ♥️. Hope we all have your blessings."

Kalyani Priyadarshan is currently acting in 'Sesham Mikeil Fathima' in which she plays the rare character of a female football announcer. The film directed by Manu C Kumar also and is the first production venture of Thalapathy Vijay's manager Jagadish Palaniswamy who is also coproducing Vijay's 'Leo' and Keerthy Suresh's 'Revolver Rita.
