Kasthuri says Vijay is way ahead of Kamal Haasan

Actress Kasthuri has stirred an hornet's nest in social media by stating in Tamil that "If Kamal has leaped eight feet then Vijay has gone forty eight feet".  Its an obvious reference to the old saying "Thaai Ettadi Paanja Kutti Pathinaaru Adi Paayum" (If the mother pounces eight feet the child will cross sixteen feet".

There are various speculations as to what Kasthuri means while we can infer that she is referring to the bold political dialogues that Vijay has spoken in 'Mersal' against both the state and the central governments.
