'Indian' and 'Baba' actress Manisha Koirala's emotional post about beating cancer

Actress Manisha Koirala who belongs to a royal family in Nepal made her Bollywood debut in 1991 in Subash Ghai's magnum opus 'Saudagar' that has legendary actors Raajkumar and Dilipkumar in the lead roles.

She gave several blockbuster hits with top directors alongside the biggest stars in Hindi such as Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, SRK, Aamir Khan and Salmaan Khan. She made her Tamil debut in Kamal Haasan's 'Indian' directed by Shankar and also played a crucial role in Ulaganayagan's 'Aalavandhaan'.

Manisha later played superstar Rajinikanth's pair in 'Baba' which he also scripted while Suresh Krishna directed. In 2012 the pretty actress was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer and she fought the disease for two years before being declared cancer free in 2013.

Manisha has since been in prime health and apart from her comeback to films is also a social activist. On the National Cancer Awareness Day who best but her to bring a message of hope and thats just what she has done in her latest post on Instagram.

Manisha wrote "On this National Cancer Awareness Day, I want to wish everyone who is going through this arduous journey of cancer treatment, a lot of love and success.
"I know the journey is tough, but you are tougher than that. I want to pay my respects to those who succumbed to it and celebrate it with those who conquered it. We need to spread the awareness on the disease and all the stories that are filled with hope need to be told and retold. Lets be kind to ourselves and to the world. I'd pray for everyones health and wellbeing. Thank you.
