Actress Meena who started her movie career as a child star in Tamil cinema later went on to become one of the top most heroines in South Indian cinema. While she starred opposite Rajini as a child star, she also acted opposite him as the heroine in three films. She paired up with all the top Tamil heroes including Kamal, Karthick, Vijayakanth, Sathyaraj, Sarathkumar, Ajith Kumar and Prabhu.

Meena got married to Bangalore-based software engineer Vidya Sagar in 2009 while she was still busy as an actress. The couple have a daughter named Nainika who is also a child star having debuted in the 2016 blockbuster hit 'Theri' starring Thalapathy Vijay.

Unfortunately, Vidyasagar passed away on June 28 this year after suffering from a lung infection for over six months. He was admitted to a leading hospital in Chennai for a few months. His lungs were completely damaged by the viral infection and he needed a lung transplant which sadly he could not get in time.

Meena, who was in great grief, slowly came back to normalcy with the heop of her close friends who include actreses Rambha, Sanghavi, Radhika Sarathkumar and Kala Master. Recently she made a comeback to social media and posted her dance videos as well as vacay pics from abroad. Meena's family members, close friends and fans are happy to see her back in a cheerful mode.

Meanwhile reports have emerged in the media that Meena's family have decided to get her remarried and were in the process of convincing her. The 46-year-old actress , who initially did not agree but later gave in to the demands according to the reports. The same source has added that the family has zeroed in on a man who has been a family friend for a long time.

However there is no official word on this one yet and this news has to be taken with a pinch of salt. Meena who was last seen in Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Annaathe' is acting with Thalapathy Vijay in the ensemble cast family entertainer 'Varisu' which will release worldwide in theaters on Pongal 2023.
