Nayanthara who debuted in Tamil in 'Ayya' directed by Hari within a short span of time became the most sought after actress in Tamil cinema. She costarred with several top heroes including Rajinikanth, Vijay, Ajith Kumar, Suriya, Vikram, Sivakarthikeyan, Vijay Sethupathi, Simbu and Dhanush.

She simultaneously became the number one actress in Telugu cinema too and earned the name of the Lady Superstar. The 38 year old beauty in recent times has decided to act in more female centric films and found great success.

In June this year Nayan married her long time lover director Vignesh Shivan and the couple fly off abroad whenever they are free to enjoy an extended honeymoon. Meanwhile a news has spread that Nayanthara has decided to quit acting and has stopped signing any new films apart from the ones she is shooting for.

The reason that is doing the rounds is that her family have allegedely requested the top actress not to remove her wedlock ("Thaali") and in her current movies she is acting with the traditional symbol. Since it is not possible to act in all films without removing the personal ornaments she is said to have taken the decision. The reports claim that Nayanthara wil be heading the couple's Rowdy Pictures and produce more films in the future.

There is no official word about this and it could be a figment of someone's over imagination. Knowing Vicky and Nayan if they get to read this rumour they surely will have a laugh and open about it soon. The highes paid South Indian actress's next release is 'Gold' in Malayalam directed by Alphonse Putheran and costarring Prithviraj Sukumaran. She is currently shooting for SRK's 'Jawan' directed by Atlee, Chiranjeevi's 'Godfather', Ashwin Saravanan's 'Connect' and Jayam Ravi's 'Iraivan'.
