Priya Bhavani Shankar who started her career in the television circuit is now one of the busiest young actresses in Tamil cinema.  Her impressive lineup of films include 'Indian 2', ''Bommai', 'Kalathil Santhipom', 'Kuruthi Aattam' and is also in talks for several biggies post lockdown.

Priya Bhavani earlier this year declared that she is in a long term relationship with her boyfriend Rajavel and had post an emotional message "I wasn’t surprised when you fell in love with the happiest, confident, less attractive, so-called average looking ‘me’ from college a decade ago. But I am surprised you chose to stay with this ‘new me’ through everything. It is NOT fun & exciting to be with a broken person picking their destroyed pieces."

A recent Instagram post by Priya has triggered speculations that the couple have broken up.  The actress had written in Tamil a long poetic post in which she has stated that a couple of years back on Chithra Pournami day she had visited the Thiruvannamalai temple and had asked God to grant her many wishes but he had torn her petition and threw it at her face.

Priya had further gone on to add that this year on the same day she is standing on her house terrace alone bearing the pain that has befallen her and hoping that after it recedes a clarity will arise.  Since all the lines are about betrayal, pain and loneliness the reporters cannot be faulted for construing a romantic woe.

When we got in touch with sources close to Priya we were informed that the post was just her poetic thoughts on that particular day and did not in any way connect to her relationship with Rajavel.  Meanwhile Priya herself has posted a pic of herself reacting in a fun way to the gossips about her.
